Articles like this interview with Hanif Kureishi beat with some life and fill a gap for university students who cannot abide the facile journalism to be found in G2 and yet aren’t quite grizzled enough to be consuming the LRB.

Kureishi’s writing is raw, piercing and transgressive throughout. Glencross does a splendid job of teasing out the nuances that are salted across his work.
